Hortonus Empire
Capitol city: Horton
Elemental Stone: Earth
Claim to Power: Manufacturing giant, railroad, land based military.
Chief resources: Farming/ranching[4], gold mining[3]
Terrain and climate: They have the best strategically sound capitol city aside from
Rhodes in it's climate. They are in a high elevation, mountainous area with stretching flat plains beyond it to the north. The climate is warm most of the year and contusive of raising livestock and vast amount of crops.
Natural disasters: This area of the world is prone to flash fires and occasional tornados on
the lower plain region of the empire. The flash fires are due in part to the extensive heat and the overlap from the stormy nature of the Valarian region.
Exports: Finished products and heavy equipment, food, stock animals, gold.
Citizens:
Style: The style of the typical Horton is conservative and rugged, and practical.
They are a bit behind the fashion, but care little about such things. They lead a more simple and slow life.
Conservatism: 9/10; The most conservative of the four empires, they generally
have their minds set about their ways and do not care to have others involve their differing opinions on their way of life. They also are not as accepting of outsiders as the Nevion and Valarian empires are, and to a lesser extent the Rodasians as well.
Professions: Ranching/farming, railroad, manufacturing, military.
Economy: The Hortonus empire has the widest economic split in any of the
empires; they have upper class and very much lower class, and not much between. About 10% of the population makes up the middle class, while 60% is lower class and 30% is upper class.
Quality of health: The Hortonus are rugged people, but not as much so as the
Rodasians. Their health care system is in a slightly better state, but only half of the population can really afford it. The people who can afford health care have extended life spans, but those who cannot, generally become ill frequently. Horton is the empire with the largest number of illnesses brought on by unspecific causes, as opposed to the Rodasians who acquire illness from their trade and environment.
