Living in a harsh land made entirely of ice, the Rodasian must work tirelessly to sustain life. The bitter climate is unfit for life, yet they manage to survive. The land is a frozen wasteland with small pockets of sulfuric host springs which can help sustain a society. Icebergs which rest near the hot springs provide underwater wells of pure, cold, clean water, some of the best in the world due to the filtration which occurs from the sulfur and ash beneath the ground. The area has some sporadically active volcanoes but is otherwise ice.

Due to the extensive mining operations, fossil fuel drilling and tapping, coupled with the volcanic nature of this attached land mass, earthquakes are prevalent to the region. Most earthquakes are minor ranging from 1.2 to as much as 4.0, but occasionally more powerful quakes have been known to occur which reach as high as 8.4 to 8.7

Rodasians are the largest exporter of raw materials to the outside world, and have a massive claim on wells of crude oil, phosphorus deposits, mineral water, metal ores of various types, and coal.

Style:

The style of Rodasian citizens is more practical than anything, they must wear heavy clothing in order to sustain life in the cold. Their general design sensibility is to wear dark clothing, usually black, this way they can be more easily spotted in the vast snows than if they were wearing lighter colored clothing. Their style sense is good however, but unique to their climate.

Conservatism:

6/10; A bit more on the conservative side of the spectrum, but not the most. The sensibilities of Rodasians are to do whatever they can to survive, and that requires a good deal of discipline and dedication. Rodasians do not think progressively unless they can afford to fail at it.

Professions:

Mining and smelting are the primary professions of a Rodasian. The Rodasians have an extensive homeland military who is trained to secure their home land and use the harshness to their advantage against invaders, and many choose to enlist there.

Economy:

The average economic class of a Rodasian is lower middle working class, despite the extensive level of wealth the empire possesses, the people work tirelessly, and get little for their efforts.

Quality of health:

Rodasians are possibly the most chronically ill individuals on the planet, due to their exposure to harsh vapors, dust from mines, and other chemicals from their mining operations. The health care system of the Rodasian empire is very low, possibly the worst. The people as a whole however are genetically speaking, the most resilient and resistant to general viral or bacteria sicknesses. They are very hearty people and have long life spans.
